Gardens

Garden Rental Options

Our variety of gardens offer beautiful natural spaces for events and photography. The following list provides maximum accommodation and a corresponding link for more details about each garden.

  • White Garden: 100-200 guests with lawn seating
  • Cottage Garden: 100 guests with outdoor seating, view of the nearby Camellia Garden Gazebo

Garden Event Rules

  • Outdoor catering services, decorations and clean-up are the responsibility of the renter.
  • Follow garden etiquette. When a garden is used for a rental event, guests must not walk into planting beds or damage plant collections.
  • Throwing rice, birdseed or confetti is not permitted in our gardens. Instead, we recommended using bubbles or performing a native butterfly release.
  • Outdoor insect-repellent foggers are not allowed, as they will harm beneficial insects such as butterflies and ladybugs.

Andrews Visitor & Education Center

Located at the end of the entrance drive, the Andrews Visitor & Education Center is an elegant Acadian-style facility with modern amenities and Southern charm. Greeted by a large front porch with white rocking chairs, guests enter through a tray-ceiling lobby under a magnificent chandelier into the Great Hall. French doors provide natural light from the covered brick back terrace, which offers stately views over the parterres of the Formal Garden. An optional wall portioning makes this large space perfect for a variety of event needs, offering a two-room space.

Size & Accommodation

  • The Great Hall measures 74′ by 30′, seating 200 (8 hour rental minimum). The Great Hall can be divided into two rooms:
    • Room 1 measures 28.5′ x 30′, seating 90
    • Room 2 measures 46′ x 30′, seating capacity 120

Rental of the Great Hall, Room 1 or Room 2 includes the use of the catering kitchen, back terrace and your choice of chairs and round or banquet tables. Please note that CGBG does not provide linens, and catering services, decorations and clean-up are the responsibility of the renter. All set up and clean-up must be accomplished within the allotted rental time.

Carolyn W. Bryan Lakeside Pavilion

The Carolyn W. Bryan Lakeside Pavilion offers the best of both worlds: an outdoor experience with the comforts of the indoors. This large open-sided structure with ceiling fans features amazing views of our southern lake and a spacious viewing deck. With on-site food preparation areas and parking, the pavilion makes for an excellent hybrid space.

  • Carolyn W. Bryan Lakeside Pavilion: 100-200 guests

Bethel Bur-Ton Conference Center

A historic building from the 1930s, the Bethel Bur-Ton Conference Center offers a beautiful meeting hall with a wooden ceiling and exposed original rafter beams. Often used for wedding receptions, the Conference Center shares proximity with nearby on-site ceremony locations including the Cottage Garden and Mediterranean Garden entrance lawn.

  • Bethel Bur-Ton Conference Center:
    • Lecture-style seating for up to 100 guests
    • Banquet-style seating for up to 75 guests
    • Round table seating for 40-55 guests

Frank Williams Classroom

One of the smaller original historic 1930s buildings, the Frank Williams Classroom makes a comfortable venue for showers, meetings, small parties, lectures and cooking demonstrations. The proximity to the Garden for all Abilities and handicapped-accessible restroom make this space perfect for events catering to guests of all abilities.
