June is the perfect time to plan ahead for a late-season vegetable garden. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to take advantage of our long growing season by planting a second round of summer crops for an early fall harvest. Topics include site selection, soil preparation, seed starting, & planting dates for popular late-season veggies.
Alana Edwards is a horticulturist and a University of Georgia College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences graduate. She has served as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator for the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens and UGA Extension (Chatham County) since 2021. In this role, she coordinates the local Master Gardener Extension Volunteer (MGEV) Program, answers clients’ agriculture questions, and facilitates horticulture education through the Coastal Gardens.
